Think, Blink and Get the Heck Outta Here!

If I could somehow be transported to a place anywhere within the blink of an eye, where would I go? My first instinct is to think of one of the many lovely beaches I remember, perhaps in the Haliburtons. Because it is very cold right now though I’d rather go to the southern end of the continent and in Florida to the beach I visited two years ago called Clearwater. It was a lovely beach with soft sand like baby powder. I couldn't stop picking the sand up and letting it run through my fingers. So soft.  The obligatory palm trees…

Inside Studio 65

The Steven and Chris Show Today I went on an adventure to the Steven and Chris Show with my lovely friends Yvette, Debbie and Bev. I almost didn't make it since my car died at the gas station for no apparent reason. With cables in hand I found a nice driver to give me a boost. I think my car tried to freeze to death from the cold. It was a very cold day in Toronto. -18°c with a windchill of -30°c. Our Trip to the Future

We awoke to the alarm blaring at 4am Friday morning. It was dark - really dark. I went and woke Thing 1 up then jumped in the shower. After drying and dressing I went to wake Thing 1 up again. He likes to sleep. Breakfast, ready and out the door to Ottawa. Thing 1 went to sleep. We were accompanied by two other high school students who had already decided on Carleton and another mother. It was snowy, pretty quiet and did I mention dark? After much driving, a quick stop at Timmies and Ottawa's morning rush hour, we arrived…

I was on an Oprah Winfrey Network Reality TV Show – True Story!

And just like that, our lives were changed forever... The Oprah Winfrey Network's Second Season of Million Dollar Neighbourhood. None of us could have anticipated just how hard it would end up being. Imagine the chaos generated in putting 100 families from different backgrounds, races, economic status, sexual orientations, and opinions together for ten weeks. The expectation was that this composition of families would all struggle together to achieve weekly personal, financial and community goals. For ten weeks we were given seemingly impossible challenges and told they had to be completed within six days. Simultaneously, each family was required to…

#blogging101

This is my first #blogging101 post. I have been told to say why I want to blog. Well, here it is... I am a chatterbox. I always wanted to write a book but I'd lose interest in it too fast. Blogs seem like a good way to stay interested and engaged in the process. I have done many things and I think I'm downright interesting. The other thing that appeals to me is to be able to ramble on and NOT be interrupted! Yahoo this is my soapbox! I'll write about what I love, think, find exciting and what keeps…
