Family Bonding in Burlington

Bonding Time During Our Staycation We've had a big change this past year - our oldest child went away to university and lived in residence in another town. (Click here to see more of this.) bonding As a very close family, this adjustment was not an easy one for any of us but we survived. Now, after a year of our son being independent, we need to make another adjustment to this adult who came home to live with us for the summer. It's another big one too. I have felt a bit of distance between the three of us and my…

5 Fun Family Things to do in Burlington Part 2

More Family Fun in Burlington! Day 2 After a great sleep at the Waterfront Hotel our friendly driver Don picked us up and drove to Beach Life Forever. He was the person who got us everywhere we needed to go on our first day on this adventure too. I love having someone drive me to the airport - I will definitely call Airways Transit the next time we take a trip. Don was a great driver. Friendly and knowledgeable about the area. 3. Burlington Beach Rentals - Yoga Here are some of the other fine bloggers I was on the tour with. There…

Work With Me

How can you call it work when it's so much fun? I am happily married with two young adults in college and university. We live within the eastern border of the GTA where I love my shih-tzu, beach glass collecting, succulents, dining out and travelling.  I write narrative posts about "stuff" that I find interesting. For the most part, I fit messages in strategically here and there for a natural flow and to direct readers to a target. As you will see on my site, there are all manner of topics included. Why write yourself into a corner when there’s…

Newly-renovated Kitchen and Dining Room – fresh, stylish and sleek

Kitchen WOW!

Rosita is back to share some of her latest decorating adventures.   I’m back! Thank you Carin for welcoming me as a guest blog contributor once again. I had an amazing opportunity in 2014 to work on a complete home renovation with clients moving from Toronto to Burlington. They wanted a bigger backyard and slower life pace for their twin girls and themselves. So they bought a bungalow that was still decorated circa 1970s. It needed a complete makeover! Kitchen layout as it was before Before: Separate Kitchen Area Before: A wall separated the Dining Room from the Kitchen Area…
